What does your dog already know?

When I ask owners what the dog knows already, they usually say "A lot. He knows sit, paw, high 5, he sometimes comes."

I ask, “What about wait or stay?”

"Oh no," they say. "He/She's not good at that."

And that is almost always why there is trouble.

This program starts with teaching self control. Waiting for just a moment, quickly turns into long periods of staying still. He/she is now attentive and looking forward to the next request. Then is the time to add more and more responses/vocabulary to the list.
